A goalies ability to move on the rink is everything...
- Goalie Position - Understanding proper goalie position is essential to playing your best. Focus on knees together, stick in front, elbows tucked in at 90 degrees, chest up, head up. Pay attention to movement and breathing, develop fluid mobility.
- Lateral Movement: Side-Step - Moving across the rink, on inside edges, step and move, push off outside leg, focus on knees together, stick in front, covering five hole, chest up, glove up, exhale on each push.
- Lateral Movement: T-Glide - Moving across the rink, turn inside foot out, push off outside leg, focus on pushing and turning, stick in front, covering five hole, chest up, glove up, exhale on each push.
- Up & Back Movement: C-Cut - Moving up the rink, on inside edges, making a "C", rotate up, rotate back, stick in front, covering five hole, chest up, glove up, exhale on each push.
- Up & Back Movement: T-Push - Bring outside leg back, into a "T", push off and explode forward, stick in front, covering five hole, chest up, glove up, exhale on each push.
